Full-time, Day shifts DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: UW Medicine Heart Institute provides a full range of cardiac care - from acute inpatient through outpatient clinic and diagnostic care - at hospital and clinic locations around the region. Our multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, and other highly-trained clinicians is internationally recognized for their expertise in treating coronary artery disease, heart rhythm disturbances such as atrial fibrillation, heart failure and adult congenital heart disease. We’re also adept at performing advanced procedures and complex surgeries, including heart transplantation, ablations and percutaneous heart valve replacement.

Opportunity to provide career growth PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides leadership and coordination for UWMC's Cardiac Ambulatory Services
Planning, organizing, staffing and managing the operational, financial, personnel and administrative activities at all sites
Lead a large team of over 100 staff members of various job title codes, including: managers, RN3's, PCC supervisor, PCC's, PSS's, MA's, RN Coordinators, ARNPs, and Exercise Physiologists
Oversee approximately 125 FTE's, having responsibility for staff and patient satisfaction scores for the HI Ambulatory Services
Work collaboratively with all HI physicians and Section head Medical leaders in efforts to coordinate process and patient flow and access in concert with the HI medical leadership
Participate in the development of goals, financial planning, policy and procedures to effectively lead the HI Ambulatory services
Consult and collaborate with the Administrator, Associate Director of CVPU, HI Section Heads and Division Chiefs in order to coordinate and implement effective strategies for the delivery of Cardiac Ambulatory care
Develop and implement effective monitoring tools to assure that standards of care/performance objectives are achieved in addition to all regulatory and compliance standards for these areas. Contributes to the creation of an environment that is conducive to professional growth, patient care and customer service goals as set by the medical center REQUIREMENTS:
Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Leadership or Nursing AND 6-8 years of experience with ambulatory or direct hospital patient care leadership
Preferably leadership experience in Cardiovascular patient care in a hospital setting of either an academic or community healthcare organization
Able to multitask and coordinate workflow from multiple different departments in one setting. Staff are accountable for 24/7 coverage. Associate Director must be available to coordinate staffing on off hours when needed.
