Summary: Meta seeks a product attorney with an understanding of the payments landscape to join our Monetization Legal Team. You will be supporting product teams that are working on our most relevant cross-Meta payments products and services. This role will require significant cross-functional collaboration with product, partnerships, engineering, policy, operations, and business teams, as well as other legal and compliance subject-matter experts, as you help shape the future of payment products worldwide. This is a great opportunity to join a growing international legal team and to work on payment issues.Required Skills: Lead Counsel, Payments - Monetization Legal Responsibilities:

Review new products, features and initiatives across multiple jurisdictions by assessing payment-related legal risks while providing practical legal advice to product, business and legal stakeholders across Meta

Provide legal advice to help develop a comprehensive, long-term approach to launching payment products and programs globally

Administration and resolution of legal issues and risks that arise in existing and new payment products by developing strategies and driving leadership alignment

Maintain experience in payments and evaluate impact of relevant laws and regulations on Meta’s payments products

Demonstrate business judgment and client counseling skills

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:

J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent)

Active membership in at least one US state bar and eligibility to obtain registered in-house counsel status (if required by the State Bar in the assigned work location)

5+ years of legal experience as a practicing attorney, including at a law firm and/or in-house or government experience

Demonstrate business judgment and client counseling skills

Effective communication skills

Experience advising on payments-related legal risks and mitigations

Experience working on multiple projects at once

Proven problem-solving skills

Experience making decisions in the face of ambiguity and evolving priorities

Demonstrated experience in understanding technology

Experience advancing projects in a multi-stakeholder environment
