We are Amazon Robotics and we will give you the tools and guidance you need to invent with us in ways that are rewarding, fulfilling and fun.This Sr. Program Manager role plays a critical part in enabling the Design Engineering Services team strategic operational planning processes to ensure the organization is focused on the right work, at the right time, with the right investment and resourcing.Key job responsibilitiesBusiness Writing

Uses clear, concise narrative writing skills with the ability to tell a story effectively using data in papers and discussions to change future action.

Writes the development of ambitious business requirements for major initiatives that are clear, actionable, and deliver the outcomes intended with minimal rework.

Process Improvement

Architects the vision and operationalizes it into ambitious goals and deliverables.

Designs and drives regular reviews of current processes, manages a portfolio of improvement ideas for maximum value.

Anticipates potential obstacles and prioritizes changes for the operation.

Decision Making

Develops quality business cases, influences policy, and drive enhancements.

Writes associated white papers that stand on their own to support recommendations.

Presents complex and/or controversial process changes to senior level leadership.

Responds to escalations, providing roots cause analysis and implements solutions.

Business and Financial Acumen

Operationalizes annual business strategy and business performance measurements (OP1/OP2/Goals).

Helps develop the business strategy, with key focus on operationalizing to produce results.

Works with knowledge of HR practices and employment regulations.

Advises and develops solutions with customers involving significant business and/or financial results.

Thinks conceptually about financial returns and costs to achieve business outcomes.

Sets direction and helps other leaders use cost benefit analysis and financial return calculations.

Global Thinking

Inspires and champions the development of global Amazon business strategies and practices where differences are the result of local law or intended variation for the enhanced financial results.

Program Management

Governs multiple projects from different process or project teams.

Leads the team through scope changes and unintended breakdowns.

Mobilizes the team to keep pushing toward successful completion.

Ensures the development of a clear problem statement and desired end state.

5+ years of program or project management experience

Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years of driving process improvements experience

Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

The base pay for this position ranges from $92,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market.
