By shifting customer demand towards more sustainable products, we will incentivize selling partners to build more sustainable products that support our commitment to preserve the natural world.The Climate Pledge Friendly (CPF) team is seeking a Business Development Manager, a critical role to strengthen partnerships with some of the world’s most sustainable brands. You will be responsible for building a team whose mission is to expand CPF selection through your selling partners, diving deep with senior executives and Chief Sustainability Officers to shape product development roadmaps, highlight environmental impact areas, and amplify storytelling for brands after launch. Your team will be directly responsible for negotiating terms and contracts, evangelizing CPF and building a business case with your selling partners for expansion, and for driving adoption of new qualification pathways when launched. You operate strategically, ensuring that the world’s most credible products from trusted brands qualify for CPF, making us the world’s #1 trusted destination to discover sustainable products.Key job responsibilities Build a team to own strategic relationships and negotiations with selling partners in the categories, influencing executives to adopt shared goals and grow selection in support of CPF’s mission You develop a thorough understanding of the space, business trends, events, and continually monitoring industry developments and influencing selling partners to adopt higher standards You focus your team on building strong relationships, operating as the primary point of contact for your selling partner in selection on-boarding, escalations, and negotiations. You coordinate across cross-functional teams and categories, communicating with key stakeholders, all while meeting tight deadlines You work with your selling partners to build, and share case studies, identifying best-in-class innovation and compelling ROI stories that further accelerate CPF’s flywheel across categories You identify partner marketing opportunities to drive sustainability across marketing channels on and off Amazon.com You identify and on-board strategic Amazon holdouts, targeting brands with the most compelling reputations for sustainable innovation You own goals to increase CPF penetration across your owned selling partners, and assist category teams in achieving their CPF penetration targetsWe are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Seattle, WA, USABasic Qualifications

5+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience

5+ years of professional or military experience

7+ years of sales, inside sales, or business development experience

Experience building and hiring a sales team

Preferred Qualifications

Experience developing efficient and scalable sales operations processes

Experience defining sales tech requirements for a CRM such as Salesforce

The base pay for this position ranges from $142,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
