Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Bagel Baker with a passion for artisan baking. This role requires an early morning schedule and hands-on production experience. You'll be reporting directly to our Head Baker and will have the support of an Assistant Baker during your shift.
Responsibilities
Mix, proof, boil, and bake bagels according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure consistent quality and output for daily bakery service and wholesale orders.
Manage oven and dough handling while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.
Collaborate with the Head Baker on production schedules and improvements.
Train, guide, and coordinate tasks with the Assistant Baker.
Lift and carry up to 50 lbs (flour bags, trays, etc.) safely and efficiently.
Schedule
Standard shifts are 3:00 AM 11:00 AM.
Start and end times may shift by 1 2 hours depending on business needs.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of professional baking experience (bagel or bread baking preferred).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of fermentation, proofing, and baking techniques.
Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
Compensation & Benefits
$25/hour guaranteed pay (tip eligible)
