Purpose: The Foreman at Tapert Concrete play a crucial role in overseeing and managing all on-site activities related to commercial concrete projects. This individual is responsible for ensuring that all work is performed in compliance with construction documents, shop drawings, and project specifications while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

2. Onsite Management & Coordination
a. Tasks / Activities
i. Schedule Management: Drive the project schedule to ensure timely completion of tasks and project milestones. Coordinate with the project team to plan and organize daily activities.
ii. Labor Tracking: Monitor and record labor hours and productivity. Adjust crew assignments as necessary to optimize efficiency.
iii. Crew Management: Supervise and direct the activities of the construction crew. Provide training and support to crew members as needed.
iv. Field Communication: Communicate any field-driven changes or Requests for Information (RFIs) to the Field Operations Manager promptly. Liaise with the General Contractor (GC) Superintendent daily to coordinate site activities.
3. Document Compliance & Reporting
a. Tasks / Activities
i. Compliance with Construction Documents: Ensure all work is performed according to approved construction documents and shop drawings. Regularly review and update construction documents to reflect any changes.
ii. Review of Shop Drawings: Examine and understand approved shop drawings to guide construction activities. Confirm that work is performed as per the drawings and specifications.
iii. Document Management: Ensure the team is working from the most current drawings and documents. Maintain accurate records of all changes and updates to construction documents.
iv. Daily Logs/Reports: Complete and submit daily logs and reports detailing site activities, progress, and issues. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation.
4. Quality & Safety
a. Tasks / Activities
i. Material Compliance: Verify that material deliveries comply with documents, drawings, and purchase agreements. Check and confirm the quality and specifications of materials on delivery.
ii. Mix Design Verification: Validate the concrete mix design for compliance with project specifications. Oversee testing and quality control of concrete mixes.
iii. Layout Verification: Confirm layout accuracy before construction begins. Ensure all layout work is performed correctly and according to the plans.
iv. Quality of Workmanship: Maintain high standards of workmanship throughout the construction process. Perform quality control checks prior to every concrete pour.
v. Safety Management: Ensure all crew members adhere to safety protocols and regulations. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
5. Material & Equipment Management
a. Tasks / Activities
i. Material Protection/Preservation: Ensure that all materials are properly protected and preserved on-site. Implement measures to prevent damage and deterioration of materials.
