Job Summary:
The Warehouse Associate role is responsible for carrying out the logistics of receiving, processing, storing and sending inventory according to purchase orders and shipping schedules. The duties include, but are not limited to, loading orders onto trucks and shipping containers, organizing incoming stock and putting the appropriate labels on outgoing parcels.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collecting merchandise from the distribution area and safely transporting materials to the shipping bay.
Receiving and documenting merchandise for delivery or return.
Keeping an inventory of all merchandise entering or exiting the warehouse.
Identifying any missing, lost or damaged materials and immediately notifying the supervisor.
Ensures that all the merchandise is safely and securely packed and labeled accurately for shipping.
Manages all merchandise with appropriate care.
Assists with training of newly employed warehouse workers.
Scans labels to ensure products are shipped to the right destination.
Knowledge of operating a forklift with the ability to become certified.
Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours and carry loads up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work independently and safely.
Must be able to maintain a positive approach with co-workers.
Maintain an organized and safe work environment.
Attendance is critical, employees must be dependable and must be able to report to work on time and as scheduled.
Must be flexible with work schedule.
Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job.
