Pillar Communities is looking for an Assistant Property Manager to work in one of our upscale apartment home communities. This position is responsible for assisting the Property Manager in maintaining all aspects of property operations, and is attentive to Pillars’ goals relating to resident satisfaction and retention. This is a demanding position, and requires a high level of customer service and professionalism.

Warmly greet prospective residents, determine needs and preferences, professionally present community and specific apartments while providing features and benefits

Attend to resident issues and communications

Maintain awareness of local market conditions and trends

Contribute ideas to Community Manager for marketing the property and improving resident satisfaction

Inspect move-outs and vacants

Maintain accurate resident records: update all rents, deposits and application fees received by residents on a daily basis

Maintain all required paperwork, including: notices to vacate, vacancy reports, activity reports, leases, etc.

Issue appropriate notices when necessary (i.e. late payment notices, eviction notices, returned check memos, etc.)

Prepare daily bank deposits

Skills/ Requirements

In order to qualify for this position, you must possess the following:

Exceptional customer service/leasing skills REQUIRED

A minimum of 1 year experience as an Assistant Property Manager at an apartment community is REQUIRED

Must be reliable and able to take charge in absence of manager

Must have friendly outgoing personality

Bookkeeping experience preferred

Yardi experience a plus

Must be able to work at a fast pace, perform duties while under pressure, and meet deadlines in a timely manner to interact/communicate with other associates, residents, visitors and the public in a professional and pleasant manner.
