The Everett Housing Authority has two immediate openings for Housing Management Specialist II positions: one at Lake Woods Senior Apartments, and one at Pepper Woods, Scriber Pointe, and Royal Oaks Apartments.The Housing Management Specialist II is a mid-level, full time, union position working 37.5 hours per week, with increasing areas of responsibilities. The position requires knowledge of both Tax Credit and PBV funding sources. The chosen applicant must have knowledge of the Move-in, Recertification and Move – out Process. Furthermore, applicants must be able to collect rent, write proper notices and provide exceptional customer service working closely with a team in the daily operations of the assigned properties. This position is responsible for a larger volume of units, with the application of two or three programs' rules and regulations with distinct differences, i.e. PBV, LIHTC, RAD or PBRA.If you are looking to build on your career with a focused and driven agency, while providing services to families in need, then look no further!REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Six (6) years of paid work experience in property management, assisted housing or similar activity, including at least two (2) years with responsibility for determining eligibility, evaluating compliance with regulations or applying program requirement to individual situations. At least two (2) years of experience must be in high volume, paperwork-intensive setting. Up to four (4) years of secondary education may be substituted for comparable amount of work experience.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE OF/SKILL IN:· Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures;· Working knowledge of any housing program such as public housing, HCV, PBV, PBRA (202 PRAC), or Low Income Housing Tax Credit is desirable.REQUIRED ABILITY TO:· Ability to learn certification policies and practices;· Prepare and maintain records and reports;· Determine verification data requirement given family characteristics;· Ensure timely completion of annual recertification processing to use tact, discretion and courtesy in dealing with residents and other contacts;· Maintain files and records;· Communicate clearly orally and in writing sometimes with English language impaired contacts;· Skill at entering information into a computer and preparing standard letters and documents.LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:· Valid Washington State Driver's License and acceptable driving record at time of appointment and through employment may be required in this position;· Tax Credit Certification or ability to obtain in the first year;· Fair Housing Certification or ability to obtain in the first six months.ADDITIONAL (DESIRABLE) QUALIFICATIONS· Fluency in Russian, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, Arabic, or Spanish language;· Prior property management work experience;· Prior housing authority work experience.Work includes frequent contact with the public and employees on a variety of matters requiring incumbent to know such policies and procedures.
