As our first point of contact, our Receptionist plays an essential role in creating a positive experience for everyone we serve.

Position Overview:

We’re seeking a friendly, organized, and detail‑oriented Receptionist to join our team. This person will be responsible for handling incoming phone calls, taking messages, and collecting initial client information for property survey requests. The ideal candidate is someone who can multitask, communicate professionally, and represent our company with a welcoming attitude. This is a part-time position. We're seeking someone who can work M - F from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally, directing them to the appropriate staff member or taking accurate messages when necessary.

Gather essential information from callers for property survey quotes, ensuring all intake details are complete and accurate.

Maintain an organized system for tracking client inquiries and messages to ensure timely follow-up.

Provide basic information about Orca Land Surveying’s services, pricing, and typical project timelines.

Perform general administrative tasks such as handling mail, scheduling appointments, and maintaining a tidy reception area.

Assist with data entry and updating client records in our internal database.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; some post-secondary education or relevant administrative training is preferred.

Excellent verbal communication skills, with a professional phone demeanor.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Ability to gather and document information accurately.

Proficient with basic computer software (MS Office or similar) and comfortable learning new systems.

Prior experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably in a construction, surveying, or similar industry, is a plus.
