The Magnolia Garden Center is seeking Sales Associates to join our team. We are looking for candidates who have a positive attitude and a desire to learn more about plant nursery operations.
This position requires customer service skills, enthusiasm, great communication, and a desire to work outdoors in any weather. A background in horticulture or nursery retail is preferred but not required. The Sales Associate will have the opportunity to work hands-on with other team members, learn about different plant departments in depth and support a dynamic garden center team. The position reports directly to the Manager.
Benefits, Wage & Hours
- $18-$22/hour, depending on experience.
- Part time schedule, with the possibility for full time.
- This is a seasonal position for the Spring and Summer with potential to stay on staff full time.
- Healthcare stipend after 3 month of employment. Must work minimum 35/week.

Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service
- Collaborate with the team to create displays and merchandise products
- Maintain plants in various departments including annuals, herbs & vegetables, perennials, shrubs, trees & houseplants
- Assist in receiving new products, unpacking, managing inventory and stocking the garden center
- Assist in shared garden center procedures in coordination with the team, including cleaning, re-stocking products, emptying waste receptacles etc.
Skills & Experience
- 1+ years of customer service experience in retail environment preferred but not required
- Horticulture or plant nursery experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills required
- Experience with merchandising a plus
- Background with gardening, landscaping or farming a plus
- Must be able to lift 50lbs or more and perform physical tasks
- Must be able to work outdoors in any weather and be on your feet for most of the workday
