Shipping Resolutions Coordinator

Job Summary:

A Shipping Resolutions Coordinator plays a crucial role in logistics and supply chain management. This is a logistics professional who prepares, tracks, and communicates with customers and carriers about shipments. They are also responsible for negotiating fees, preparing quotes, issuing instructions and ensuring compliance with documentation and regulations. The Shipping Resolutions Coordinator works with shipping department managers, shipping clerks, and Customer Service representatives to help resolve issues with shipping couriers and works closely with other departments in real time to provide updates and ensure seamless operations. They will work with customers both domestically and internationally to facilitate smooth shipping processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Communicate with vendors, customers, and other departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Communicate with clients, shippers, and courier companies to resolve any issues, including RMAs.

Manage relationships with logistics service providers: Negotiate contracts and rates to obtain best value and service.

Track shipments and delivery dates, providing timely updates to customers and internal teams to ensure transparency and accuracy.

Schedule and coordinate the pick-up and delivery of shipments, balancing logistics to meet customer needs and operational efficiencies.

Maintain detailed and accurate records of shipments, including dates, costs, and tracking numbers; prepare comprehensive reports for senior management to inform decision-making.

Collaborate in real time with other departments, including inventory management, sales, and customer service, to provide updates and ensure seamless coordination across the organization. Track shipments and delivery dates, and update customers as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in logistics, business, or a related field preferred.

1-3 years of experience in a shipping/logistics role; experience with international shipping and understanding of global trade regulations is a plus.

Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address issues proactively.

Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, logistics software, and ERP systems; experience with specialized shipping and tracking tools is advantageous.
