IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a Research Scientist – Microbiology position at its facility in Seattle, WA.

Applicants must possess a PhD degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience as postdoctoral fellow and strong knowledge of Bioinformatics required. The candidate should be highly motivated and proactive, have a strong passion for food microbiology and food science, and be willing to do their best to help our clients on their requested projects.

The pay range for this position is $85,000.00 - $110,000 annually. This is a full-time position and is eligible for the following benefits after a brief waiting period: medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability insurance, health and dependent care FSA plans, employee assistance program, 15 days of paid time off per year for sick leave and/or vacation, 6 paid holidays per year, 3 days paid bereavement leave, and 401(k) (with up to 3% employer match after eligibility criteria are met).

Occasional weekend work, extended hours, and or presence in the lab outside of the normal schedule are sometimes required. This position may require occasional travel assignments depending on project needs.
