Position available for a General Service Automotive Repair Technician at a full service automotive repair mechanic shop working on all common vehicle makes & model's. Car repairs & maintenance & other duties to include:
Oil change / oil changes
Transmission Fluid changes & flushes , coolant flushes & changes
Battery, lights, air filters, & windshield wiper replacements
Tire rotations
Completing multi-point safety inspections on vehicles
Automotive mechanical repairs (brake pads & rotors, calipers, alternators, radiators, spark plugs,HVAC, suspension, steering, & other automotive systems & components)
Assisting senior & fellow mechanics with jobs upon request
Cleaning, polishing up, & prepping customer cars upon completion of service for return to them
Shop upkeep
Parts runs when needed
Other miscellaneous duties that may come up
General automotive knowledge required, 1-2+ years experience in the field at a full service shop, dealership service center, lube shop, and/or equivalent personal experience. Expected to pass a drug test, able to pass a background check, & have a clean driving record & valid drivers license for the commercial insurance coverage. ASE's not required but preferred. (We hope to be able offer ASE learning path in the future) Own tools absolutely needed. Able to safely operate & lift & other major repair shop equipment.
We need a dependable team player with a good friendly attitude who is willing to do their part no matter what the job is at the time, can take direction & advice well, is dependable, & willing to learn & grow. Able to follow safety protocols & regulations & wear all necessary PPE to keep other teams members & the shop safe & as clean as possible at all times. Be respectful & conscious of proper use and replacement of shop equipment & tools & returning to their proper place at end of jobs and shift. Steady work attendance & history of it is expected when hiring.
Dependable transportation & a professional demeanor when interacting with customers as well goes without saying. Hopefully somewhat local to Bellevue or the Eastside & be able to be there by shop opening time without problems.
Need to be physically fit with good stamina. Able to lift up to 50 lbs periodically throughout the day (common for tire rotations & brake & suspension work), & light lifting throughout the day. Ability to bend, lift, stand, crouch, kneel, & reach for long periods of time throughout the Workday.
COMPENSATION:
Up to $30/hour depending on skills, experience, & tools
- Negotiable Competitive Pay according to experience, skill level, tool ownership, & willingness to learn & grow. Option of hourly or flat rate, as well as W2 or Contractor status for employment as well.
Raises every 6 months as skills, abilities, knowledge, & experience increases
Benefits for W2 employees available after probationary period
