Position: Lead Carpenter

Job Description: Dovetail is hiring an experienced lead finish carpenter. Candidates must demonstrate a positive attitude, excellent craftsmanship, commitment to quality, leadership skills, and a willingness to bring your best. Must have highest standards for safety, site cleanliness, professionalism, and a passion for your craft. There are opportunities to grow into foreman and superintendent positions.

Required Experience:

Minimum of 7-years’ recent, consistent experience working onsite in high-end residential construction.

Well-versed in the field of architecturally significant residential, commercial, and high-performance building.

Familiarity with all phases of building: layout, foundations & footings, concrete, waterproofing/flashing, framing.

Proficiency in all types of finish carpentry: windows & doors, envelope, interior and exterior trim, finish, cabinet & casework installation.

Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools.

Ability to read, interpret, and build construction drawings and specifications.

Excellent time management and communication skills, including asking questions.

Detail oriented with refined standards of craft and quality.

Proactive problem solver.

Work well independently and with a team.

Must be a good team player, and have the ability to teach/coach an apprentice.

Required Qualifications: Fully tooled (air, power, and carpentry tools), reliable transportation, valid driver's license, clean driving record, punctuality is a must – show up on time every day.
