We are seeking an Experienced Veterinary Assistant to expand our team!
We are a privately owned, established, 5.5 doctor equivalent practice that is focused on preventative care and customer service. As a mixed animal practice we see a wide array of critters - from exotics to dogs and cats to cows, sheep, goats and horses. We provide in-clinic, house call, farm call and haul-in appointments. We provide hospitalization, full surgical services, in-house and send-out diagnostics, and other services. The practice is open Monday through Friday.
Full time and part time positions available. Full time schedule is customizable - four tens or five eights. Salary will be commensurate with experience, but will start at $20 per hour. Additional compensation includes vacation, pet health care allottment, retirement and health insurance, clothing stipend.
Duties will include animal care (feeding, exercising, monitoring, treatments), assisting doctors (patient intake/discharge, restraint of animals, prepping for procedures and surgery, client education), cleaning and occasional office duties (filing, answering the phone, etc). Must be able to lift 50 pounds and to work on your feet throughout the shift.
