Nielsen Brothers, Inc., a family owned and operated logging company in Skagit/Whatcom County, Washington State is looking to hire a journeyman mechanic, and an apprentice mechanic for our logging trucks and dump trucks. Heavy equipment experience is a plus! We are looking for someone who has at least 2 years of experience and a passion for quality work. Applicants must have working knowledge in repairing logging and dump trucks, as well as experience with diesel engines, equipment hydraulics and electrical systems.
Job duties will include:
· Perform preventative and routine maintenance
· Troubleshoot and repair mechanical defects
· Operate equipment as needed
· Perform job duties in accordance to safety rules and regulations.
Other Qualifications:
· Must have valid driver’s license, CDL license is a plus
· Be available to work Monday- Friday, (occasional Saturdays when needed)
Wages start at $30-40 for journeyman mechanic (based on experience), and $18-23 for apprentice (based on experience). Full-time, year round work, with overtime after 40 hours. We offer competitive, performance based wages, and full medical, dental & life insurance benefits after 60 days. Our 401k program is offered after 6 months.
