Role and Responsibilities:As the Assistant Manager, you will directly support the Operations Manager in coordinating cleaning and seasonal grounds maintenance services in support of the Thomas S. Foley Courthouse, adjacent U.S. Post Office in downtown Spokane.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Clearly communicating in a professional manner verbally and in writing with the department’s employees, other Skils’kin departments, vendors, and our government customer.
Assisting in planning, scheduling, and overseeing work requirements.
Assisting in hiring, training, and coaching team members in proper workplace conduct, safety practices, and how to maintain professional quality standards.
Assisting in employees’ development and growth through evaluations and goal setting.
Monitoring and assessing the quality of provide services to ensure they meet customer expectations and professional company standards.
Standing in for the Operations Manager in their absence, collaborating as needed with the Director Operations and other Skils’kin team members during these times to ensure operational consistency.
Embracing flexibility in day-to-day activities, including response to emergencies and quick turnaround requests.
Maintaining accurate records of cleaning supplies, equipment, and materials inventory.
Coordinating with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely availability of necessary resources for day-to-day operations.
Identifying and resolving any operational challenges, equipment malfunctions, or service disruptions in a timely manner.
Working with others to develop solutions and preventive measures to minimize future issues.
Candidate Profile:To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
Experience in professional cleaning, grounds maintenance, or similar commercial operations.
Proven leadership skills and the ability to foster high-performing teams.
A growth mindset and a willingness to learn and adapt.
Proficiency in using technology, including Microsoft Office and cloud-based programs.
Respect and empathy for all individuals.
Other RequirementsYou must meet the following criteria to be eligible for this role:
Ability to provide information for and pass our company-generated criminal history background check.
Ability to provide information for and pass and maintain specific Federal background check clearance requirements necessary to work on a Federal installation.
Possess and continue to maintain a valid driver's license and a safe driving record as proven through a Motor Vehicle Report and as defined by our insurance carrier.
Be at least 21 + years of age.
Have 2 years of supervisory and management experience.
Compensation and Benefits:
This position is a full time hourly paid position and pay is issued every two weeks.
Skils'kin pays on your behalf an additional fringe rate towards options for medical, dental, vision, life insurance and 401(k) retirement savings.
You will also earn paid time off.
