We are looking for a talented and passionate Video Editor to join our creative team and help bring our video content to life.
Job Overview:
As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for editing both long-form and short-form videos for our YouTube channel and other platforms. Your role will involve collaborating closely with our Content Creator and Creative Manager to ensure that each video aligns with our brand’s voice and vision. You will handle the editing process from raw footage to final cut, incorporating graphics, sound, and effects to create polished, engaging videos.
Key Responsibilities:
Edit Video Content: Edit and assemble raw footage into engaging long-form and short-form videos suitable for YouTube, ensuring a high standard of quality and adherence to the creator's vision and style. Current volume is 3 long form and 4 short form videos per week.
Creative Input: Provide creative input on video structure, pacing, and visual elements to enhance storytelling and viewer engagement.
Graphics and Effects: Integrate graphics, animations, and special effects as needed to enhance video content and align with the channel’s branding.
Sound Editing: Manage audio elements, including syncing audio, adjusting levels, and adding background music or sound effects.
Collaborate with Team: Work closely with the content creator and Creative Manager to understand video goals and incorporate feedback.
File Management: Organize and maintain video files and assets, ensuring efficient workflow and easy access to all project materials.
Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with video editing trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve video quality and engagement.
Qualifications:
Experience: Proven experience as a video editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work, including long-form and short-form content.
Skills: Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro, Knowledge of motion graphics and animation is a plus.
Creativity: Strong creative vision with the ability to translate concepts into visually compelling videos.
Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail with the ability to ensure consistent quality and adherence to brand standards.
Communication: Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to feedback and make revisions as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with YouTube: Familiarity with YouTube platform best practices, including SEO, audience engagement, and monetization strategies.
Understanding of AVD (Average View Duration): The goal is to edit videos in such a way that drives up the AVD of each video.
