Overview:
Hive Design-Build is looking for a dedicated Carpenter I to join our team of talented craftsmen. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in residential remodeling who is ready to grow their skills in a supportive, hands-on environment. You’ll work closely under the guidance of our Lead Carpenter to help bring beautiful, detail-oriented remodels—especially kitchens and baths—to life.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general carpentry duties including framing, trim work, cabinet installation, and other remodeling tasks as assigned.
Support the Lead Carpenter in executing kitchen and bath remodel projects to the highest standards of quality and detail.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times.
Communicate effectively with the Lead Carpenter and team members to ensure smooth project execution.
Assist in unloading materials, setting up tools/equipment, and preparing the site for daily tasks.
Follow instructions, plans, and drawings with precision and a strong attention to detail.
Uphold Hive Design-Build’s values of respect, reliability, and craftsmanship in all interactions—on and off the job site.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required:
2+ years of experience in residential carpentry or remodeling
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Willingness to learn and receive feedback from more experienced carpenters.
Reliable transportation and ability to carry tools/materials to job sites.
Familiarity with basic residential building codes and safety protocols.
Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Preferred:
Experience in finish carpentry (baseboards, crown molding, cabinet installation, etc.).
Exposure to kitchen and bath remodeling projects.
Interest in growing into a leadership or specialized role over time.
Familiarity with construction software or willingness to learn (BuilderTrend is a bonus).
Compensation & Benefits:
$22–$25/hour, based on experience
