Job Title: Diesel MechanicJob DescriptionTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties/responsibilities listed below.Responsibilities
Conduct preventative maintenance on all SDR trucks and equipment, including daily inspections, greasing, and basic maintenance for roadworthiness and effective use on routes and at various locations.
Prepare and complete paperwork or computer data entry for all service and repair work for documentation and record-keeping purposes, ensuring all records are compliant with Department of Transportation rules and company policies.
Perform repairs and/or maintenance on trucks and equipment in the following areas: hydraulics, cylinders, brake repair, electrical systems, engines, and body (may include welding).
Service vehicles and equipment at predetermined intervals in accordance with company policies, manufacturer specifications, and all applicable local, state, and federal guidelines/regulations.
Perform all other duties and special projects for management team members as assigned.
Attend all necessary meetings as scheduled, including safety, training, and other company-scheduled meetings.
