Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Float Staff

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver Float provides direct care within Supported Living homes in Tacoma/Lakewood and will provide staffing support to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD). This position requires a dependable candidate who is flexible in their schedule, works well independently, and has exceptional communication and decision-making skills.  Float DSPs are adaptable and will have the necessary skill set to be able to work at multiple homes. What You’ll DoProvide client care in a float capacity for schedules, emergencies, or fill-in assignments at designated supported living homesEnrich and support the lives of our residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment   Provide companionship and personalized care with respect and dignity while encouraging independence and self-care.   Assist patients with activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating.   Implementing positive behavior supports Prepare meals and snacks.  Light household duties Provide mobility and transfer assistance, which may include using mechanical lift devices.   Community activities and outings Assist with transportation needsOther duties as assigned
