As a company deeply committed to innovation, craftsmanship, and customer satisfaction, we are looking for a Manager of Product Development to help us shape the future of home design and enhance our lineup of floor plans and customizable options. SUMMARY The Manager of Product Development will oversee the design and development of new floor plans, improvements to existing floor plans, retirement of non-performing floor plans, and development of new options, including flooring, cabinets, millwork, etc. This position ensures that floor plans and options meet market demands and reflect contemporary home design trends. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the Product Development team execution, including collaborating department stakeholders and Product Development team employees (drafting, purchasing, and interior design).

Lead the development of new floor plans and standard options, ensuring they are aligned with current market trends and ideal customer expectations.

Manage the product development lifecycle from initial concept to launch, collaborating with design, engineering, purchasing, marketing, and sales teams.

Continuously update and refine the existing floor plan portfolio to keep it fresh and relevant.

Responsible for directly estimating costs for new floor plans and options and collaborating with the estimating team and 3rd party partners to determine costs.

Oversee the design and management of Adair Homes' sales showroom displays, ensuring that product displays are innovative, engaging, and reflective of our latest offerings.

Collaborate with Adair’s drafting team, outside architects, designers, and engineers to create floor plans and options that appeal to the Adair Ideal customer.

Conduct market research to identify emerging home design and construction trends and integrate those insights into new floor plans and showroom designs.

Work closely with the sales team to optimize showroom layouts and displays for a seamless customer experience that supports the sales process.

Analyze customer feedback and warranty performance data to improve product offerings and showroom displays continuously.

Stay ahead of industry trends and provide innovative recommendations to improve Adair Homes' product offerings.

Lead regular product development team meetings.

Create and manage product road map and execution within a software program.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Design, Construction Management, interior design, Purchasing/Supply Chain or equivalent experience.

5+ Years of new home Purchasing and/or Estimating experience.

Experience in product development, design, or project management, preferably within the homebuilding industry.

Deep understanding of residential construction processes and floor plan design.

Experience managing sales showrooms and product displays is strongly preferred.

Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and a customer-first mindset.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Proficiency in project management software and design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) is a plus.
