Editor, Hotel Dive

This role is based in our 404 NW 10th Street, Portland, Oregon 972029 office. Hotel Dive, a publication of Informa TechTarget, is looking for an editor to report, write, edit and help manage the operations of its daily and weekly newsletters. Hotel Dive covers news and trends in the hotel industry in areas including development, operations, labor, consumer behavior, technology and regulations. Coverage priorities include development and construction projects, major investments, M&A, quarterly earnings reports, economic trends, union activity and appointments at leading U.S. hotels, management companies and REITs. The editor will work closely with the team on daily coverage strategy and help elevate all types of stories, from breaking news to in-depth analyses of trends. This job entails a mix of reporting, writing, editing and assigning stories, including for freelance contributors. You will regularly use analytics to guide coverage decisions and experiment with new approaches to digital reporting to grow the publication. This position reports directly to the managing editor.
