Location: Yakima, WA (Eastern Washington Services)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Some evenings/weekends for events)
Salary: $50,000–$55,000 DOE + benefits
Bonus: One-time $1,000 - $2,000 sign-on bonus for applicants who already hold a valid WA State Phlebotomist License

POSITION SUMMARY
The HIV & STI Prevention Specialist (Phlebotomist) supports HIV/STI testing, sex health literacy/education, PrEP referral navigation, and community engagement efforts across Yakima County and surrounding rural communities.
The ideal candidate is bilingual (Spanish/English), culturally responsive, comfortable working with diverse communities—including Latino MSM and agricultural workers—and committed to reducing health disparities in Eastern Washington.
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES
HIV & STI Testing & Education:
- Conduct HIV & STI testing in accordance with WA DOH requirements.
- Provide pre/post-test conversations, harm-reduction education, and referral to PrEP navigation.
- Facilitate prevention workshops, small group presentations, and 1:1 Sexual Health Literacy/Education.
Community Outreach:
- Participate in community outreach events, tabling, health fairs, and partner activities.
- Build relationships with local clinics, schools, and community partners to expand access to prevention services.
Program Support:
- Maintain accurate documentation and data in Provide and EvaluationWeb.
- Help develop culturally relevant educational materials tailored for Eastern Washington.
- Assist in preparing for special events, support groups, and community forums.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Fluency in Spanish and English (required).
- One year of experience in outreach, HIV/STI prevention, health education, or similar direct service.
- Ability to obtain WA Phlebotomist Certification (bonus available if already licensed).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with diverse communities.
COMPENSATION & BENEIFTS
- $50,000–$55,000 annual salary, depending on experience
- $1,000 - 2,000 sign-on bonus for applicants with an active WA Phlebotomist License
