Then we have an interesting position in Grundfos for you.What is the job about?Grundfos is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join its Domestic Building Services (DBS) sales team in the US.As a Sr. Sales Engineer, you will apply extensive expert knowledge in domestic building services with a high degree of technical/commercial knowledge in the area. You will develop initiatives and activities to generate new business and achieve sales goals. You may have some degree of functional responsibility.You will be responsible for accounts within your territory of Minnesota, Wisconsin, North and South Dakota, Nebraska, and Iowa.In this role, you will be required to travel by land and air, you can be based in any location in the assigned territory, preferably inMilwaukee or Minnesota, and will work remotely.Your main responsibilities :
Identify and conduct feasibility studies of new businesses with the potential to use Grundfos products and services.
Execute sales tactics, plans, and activities in line with overall sales plans and strategies.
Assist in the preparation of the budget to plan sales and marketing activities.
Use SAP BW data for business analysis and forecasting.
Provide advice to customers, consultants, distributors, and contractors on products and their performance, new products, product modifications, system solutions, applications, terms of sale, service, replacement, spare parts, etc.
Gather market information on competitor business trends, strategies, and activities, and provide recommendations to business managers to counter competitor strategies.
Conduct specialized product and application training for customers, distributors, and sales team.
Coach and mentor junior team members.
Record all customer activities in the global CRM tool.
Register and nurture opportunities in the global CRM tool according to company guidelines.
Ensure that the customer master data is maintained in the customer portfolio under your responsibility.
Your backgroundWe imagine that you have:
A Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, engineering preferred.
5-6 years of relevant work experience in addition to formal education.
Experience in the management of defined processes within project sales.
Possess industry experience within a business environment; experience working in a large manufacturing environment is preferred.
Solid knowledge of plans, processes, and activities within the domestic buildings sales functional area.
Strong ability to influence others.
Possess a strong understanding of the relevant systems, local laws and regulations where applicable.
Ability to travel within the assigned area either by car or airplane.
Ability to travel internationally (maintain an active passport)
