- Flexible work arrangementThe Area Director is responsible for:
· Overall management, leadership and administration of designated area programs/services
· New business/program development in the assigned geographic area(s) of the state
· Navigating, managing and leading all aspects of program/area financial performance, including budget management, contract review/adherence and rate negotiation
· Team Development - providing leadership, coaching and guidance to a team of Program Directors and Managers
· Licensing and regulatory compliance
· Critical thinking and strategic evaluation – identifying gaps in service and implementing systems and best practices
· System/Process identification – responsible for the management and development of systems and processes to guide area operations
· Collaborating across departments to effectively lead and direct area activities and initiatives
· Effective coordination of referrals/assessments and admissions to drive census
· Promoting and leading effective relations with external stakeholders (Case Managers, Guardians, families, funders, etc.)
· Quality service delivery and outcomes; driving quality improvement practices and systems
The Area Director joins a team of other Area Directors within the State to drive Dungarvin outcomes and area objectives.
SKILLS CRUCIAL TO SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE:- Knowledge and management experience with home and community-based programs and supports.
- Highly organized with ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working within the field of community-based care, social work and/or working with individuals receiving supportive services in the area(s) of Mental Health, Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, Physical Disabilities and Neurocognitive disorders
- Financial and business acumen – ability to read financial statements and interpret data
- Strong critical and analytical thinking skills
- Leadership experience managing diverse personalities across multi-site locations
- Demonstrated leadership to drive excellence through accountability, expectations and standards
- Exceptional communication skills (written and spoken)
- DHS 83 and DHS 88 regulatory knowledge and experience, strongly preferred
Qualifications
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field.
- Experience managing community-based programs and supports for adults with intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities
- Ability to office out of the Madison area with remote work arrangements
- Be willing to travel to programs within area of responsibility
- Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
