Job Title: Entry-Level Lab AssistantJob DescriptionAs a Lab Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the microbiology team by preparing media, disposing of samples, cleaning and stocking the lab, and putting away glassware. You will assist in counting probiotics and, over time, learn and perform various aspects of lab testing including routine analysis, plating, and testing for pathogens like E.coli, Salmonella, and Listeria.Qualifications
High school diploma required
0-1+ years experience in a production/manufacturing or food service position
Microbiology experience is a plus
Ability to multi task
High attention to detail - precise weights need to be taken
Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a lab setting within a microbiology department that comprises about 20 employees.
