IO Datasphere, Inc. has been providing project management, software development and IT staff augmentation services to our clients in the Midwest and throughout the U.S. since 1996. We are an approved vendor on contract to provide software development and IT staff augmentation services for the States of Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. We also provide these services to businesses, as well as local and county governments, in the Midwest and nationwide. Our client is looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst. this position provides lead-level Quality Assurance work on complex, multi-platform client server, and web-based business applications, systems and vended platforms. This position provides expertise in Testing client Applications and providing guidance to business areas for User Acceptance Testing. This position closely works with IT and Business areas within and with external vendors

Tasks
  • Coordination, planning and execution of efforts around Quality Assurance of business systems and processes, reliability testing for the agency’s products and/or development processes.
  • Identify, recommend and establish formal QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices.
  • Communicates quality standards and parameters to QA team, product development team, and other appropriate staff.
  • Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans and procedures. Record test progress and results.
  • Follow software development life cycle methodologies and practices around system testing and quality assurance processes.
  • Develop software-testing plans and conduct software tests from components to entire systems.
  • Identify and analyze issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products; recommends and facilitates solutions to these issues.
  • Document user-acceptance test criteria and conduct user/system acceptance testing.
  • Determine requirements for the selection of useful development tools associated with automated testing and other quality assurance related tools.
  • Provide leadership and support in maintaining the automated regression tests and suite
  • Estimate the costs of application quality assurance and system testing related work on IT projects.
  • Lead testing support to troubleshoot, identify, and resolve production and development application problems.
  • In cases where subject matter experts and product owners are not available, test applications in lieu of representative of the business area or agency to determine that business requirements are met.
  • Lead risk assessment and management activities by verifying system readiness before production deployment.

Skills Required:
  • Knowledge of project management principles, methods and practices
  • knowledge of business process documentation, analysis and design

  • Experience with automated regression testing tools, tests and suites
  • Experience with writing Test cases from Acceptance Criteria
  • Experience in Triaging Bug Fixes
  • Experience working independently to create Test Cases and executing them
  • Experience with JIRA
  • Experience with SQL database and data validation
  • Experience in Test Planning
  • Experience collaborating with technical team and Product Owners
