AECOM is seeking a Transit Engineer to be based in Madison, Wisconsin to join our growing transit engineering practice. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Be a designer and/or technical task leader on preliminary design studies and final design of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) projects.Coordinate, cooperate, and work collaboratively with other team members.Support the business development of the AECOM US West Region Transit/Rail Engineering Group.Prepare engineering calculations and develop drawings and visual aids for BRT infrastructure.Assists with the engineering design of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) projects—including the design of BRT transit guideways, BRT stations, and pedestrian facilities.Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings.Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.Perform work following an agreed-upon budget and schedule with little supervision.Contributes to the development of reports and documentation needed for the pursuit of federal grants.
