Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant (with manufacturing experience) to join our Manufacturing client in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role is pivotal in maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. The Sr. Accountant will work closely with our financial management team in the Manufacturing industry to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices and tax payments.For immediate consideration call Bill Johannes at 414-662-3416 or connect on Linked-In . Thanks for any consideration and I look forward to helping you. God Bless.Responsibilities: Maintain the general ledger, journal entries, and month-end supporting schedules with accuracy. Balance inventory periodically to ensure accurate daily activity. Lead annual physical inventory counts and reconciliation in collaboration with operations and finance teams. Coordinate with internal project managers to obtain current information on progress of capital projects and maintain the fixed assets and depreciation listing. Perform routine fixed asset cycle counts periodically and lead plant-wide full fixed asset counts as required. Ensure adherence to key accounting controls and compliance with formal accounting policies and procedures. Coordinate with shared accounting team in managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and salary payroll for accuracy. Assist finance leader and other leaders with monthly/annual projects as needed. Research state income use and other taxes for purposes of maintaining tax compliance with state and local jurisdictions. Provide mentoring and development opportunities for entry-level to mid-level accounting team members. Identify and implement process improvements relating to daily, monthly, and annual reporting. Maintain, analyze, and reconcile asset and liability accounts for accurate reporting. Partner in the development of the annual budget and profit plan for the facility.Requirements Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field A minimum of five years of experience in an accounting role Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations Extensive experience with General Ledger and Journal Entries Proficient use of Microsoft Excel in financial analysis and reporting Experience in performing Month End Close activities Familiarity with Oracle and SAP accounting software Knowledge of Annual Standard Cost, Cost Accounting, Manufacturing Cost Accounting, and Standard Cost Accounting Experience in conducting Annual Inventory Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Willingness to stay updated on industry trends and developments.
