WVRC - Waukesha is recognized as a certified Level 1 Emergency and Critical Care Facility by the Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Society (VECCS).We have three hospital locations: Waukesha, Racine and Grafton all dedicated to providing patients, clients, and referring veterinarians the highest quality emergency and specialty veterinary medical care. WVRC offers a warm, friendly atmosphere where our main goal is to provide compassionate care to our patients and clients as well as offering outstanding customer service. The Veterinary Technician Assistant provides key support to the technician and veterinarian staff. Must be friendly, professional and courteous, and capable of handling several tasks at once with frequent interruptions. Must be able to take direction from multiple staff members while adhering to training standards.Schedule and Compensation:

This position is for second shift

Four 9-10 hour shifts each week, including every other weekend

4 Holidays per year

Pay starts at $15 an hour and may be higher depending on experience

Essential Functions:Multi-tasking and attention to detail skills are required. Must have the ability to stand for the majority of the work period and enough stamina to work past the regularly scheduled shifts, if needed.Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Restraining of patients

Cleaning Kennels, Floors, etc.

Stocking the treatment areas

Laundry

Taking patients outside

Feeding patients

Positive outlook, a passion for providing the highest quality in patient care and the ability to deliver exceptional client service.

Qualifications:

Must have worked or volunteered working with dogs and cats at a clinic, Humane Society, Kennel, or similar
