In this position, your responsibilities will include development, automation, and technical/analytic support of claim and enrollment reporting. Your focus will be on supporting initiatives for customer reporting and data warehouse solutions. You will interact with IT and business teams to gather and document reporting requirements and help develop and support reporting applications and customer reports built by UMR. You will participate in regular team meetings discussing details such as the next phase of our application development lifecycle (project work). Daily responsibilities will also include troubleshooting, analysis, testing, and supporting our online reporting application (production support work). You will be managing complex data flow, querying reporting tables and views, and researching multiple data entry points to produce high quality, fully customizable reports. Shifting priorities and new incoming requests are part of our fast-paced environment.You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:

Use your operational analytical skills to design, develop, program, maintain, and publish reports and reporting applications

Meet with business partners and gather reporting requirements, offer recommendations and different options to meet their reporting needs

Customized application and report development, automation, and technical support of the data warehouse and reporting tools

Be able to work through root-cause analysis and perform advanced data research

Partner with stakeholders and IT to understand data requirements and create innovative data warehouse solutions

Research and recommend new ways to improve existing functionality

Be self-motivated and creative as you will deal with some very interesting and complex issues

3+ years of experience writing and interpreting complex Oracle SQL statements using multiple tables, subqueries, and analytic functions

3+ years of experience performing significant data analysis and report development

2+ years of experience with coding languages - C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript

1+ years of open-source software language experience, such as Python

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience developing reports in Power BI or comparable business intelligence tools

Experience writing and assessing formal business requirements documents

Experience in the HealthCare industry (Medical, Dental, RX) claims

Experience with SAP BusinessObjects, Central Management Console, and InfoView for user administration and report distribution

Soft skills:

Adaptable to work independently and in a group setting to achieve overall departmental goals

Team player and solid ability to work with other disciplines across the company

Ability to work productively and proactively in a dynamic, fast paced and constantly changing environment

Analytical thinker, with ability to quickly grasp complex issues and problem solve

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Solid organizational skills and aware of deadlines and delivery dates
