Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Bilingual Medical Receptionist in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. This key role will entail managing patient appointments, providing administrative support and ensuring smooth operations at the front desk. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere while adeptly handling administrative tasks.Responsibilities: Provide a warm and welcoming environment for patients and visitors by greeting them upon arrival Efficiently manage and schedule patient appointments, and assist with rescheduling as necessary Answer and direct phone calls in a courteous and efficient manner, ensuring all inquiries are adequately addressed Verify patient information and insurance coverage in a timely and accurate manner Process payments accurately, including the collection of co-payments Maintain the reception area's cleanliness and organization to ensure a pleasant and professional environment Assist patients with completing necessary forms and paperwork, providing guidance as needed Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient operations Respond to inquiries and provide information about clinic services to patients and visitors Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, data entry, and Spanish translation when required.Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Receptionist or similar role in a healthcare setting. Proficiency in answering inbound calls and managing multiple phone lines. Proven experience in checking in patients and managing patient flow. Proficient in patient scheduling, including managing appointments and rescheduling when necessary. Solid knowledge of MS Office, particularly MS Excel and MS Word. Previous experience in performing receptionist duties, including greeting patients, handling inquiries, and maintaining a clean and organized reception area. Strong data entry skills, with an emphasis on accuracy and speed. Ability to provide Spanish translation services when required, catering to a diverse patient population. High school diploma or equivalent; further education in medical administration is a plus. Excellent organization and multitasking abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with healthcare laws and medical ethics. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) software is a plus.
