EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT).
The Selected applicant must complete an "I-9, Employment Verification", "OF-306, Declaration of Federal Employment", a Memorandum understanding requirements upon acceptance of an Indefinite position, a "Declaration of Relatives in the Wyoming Military Department" prior to the appointment date.
Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses.
Acceptance of a Technician position will terminate these military incentives.
Acceptance of a permanent or indefinite position will cause termination from the Selected Reserve Incentive
Program (SRIP) and TRICARE Reserve Select (TRS).
Recruitment/Relocation Incentive MAY BE authorized, if eligible. Subject to funding and TAG approval.
PCS is not authorized in lieu of incentives.
Military Technicians in the excepted service will wear the appropriate uniform while performing as a
Technician.
Veteran's preference does not apply to National Guard Technician positions in accordance with Title 32 USC 709(f).
Indefinite employees may be terminated or displaced at management's discretion with a 30-day written notice.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Work involves general or miscellaneous occupations with no one occupation predominate.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Must possess experience or training which demonstrates the knowledge of equipment and practices associated with the type of work to be done.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:Must possess at least 18 months experience, education or training in the Air Transportation career field or performing similar duties.
NOTE: Minimum Requirements and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. Must possess or be eligible to retrain into AFSC 2T2X1, Air Transportation.Enlisted 2T2X1 ASVAB Requirements:Must possess a minimum score of "47" on the Mechanical portion AND "28" on the Administrative portion of the ASVAB.
Medical Profile PULHES must not be greater than 333123.
Must be able to lift 60 lbs. unassisted.
DRIVER'S LICENSE:Must possess a valid state's driver's license.

TENURE: GROUP III - INDEFINITEPurpose: To fill a position that may last for more than 1 year where the need for an employee's services is not permanent or management expects the position to potentially become permanent (career or career-conditional) at some time in the future.
Often used to backfill positions left vacant by employees entering Title 10 or Title 32 military orders with reemployment rights. An employee with statutory reemployment rights (USERRA) is protected for five years.

Summary
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a Air Cargo Specialist, Position Description Number D1965000
and is part of the WY 153rd Logistics Readiness Squadron, National Guard.
Responsibilities
The primary purpose of this position is to perform a full variety of Air Transportation functions necessary to manage the day-to-day Air Transportation operations including but not limited to, airdrop and airdrop inspections, rigging responsibilities, wing deployment training, passenger and cargo manifesting, Joint Inspection, load planning, determining cargo/passenger eligibility, establishing and maintaining air terminal security, directly responsible for safe and efficient loading/offloading of all DOD-owned and controlled aircraft and ensuring In-transit Visibility (ITV).
(1) Inspects a variety of airdrop equipment such as parachutes, multi loop lines, extraction transfer force couplings, latch assembly couplings, cable assembly couplings, actuator assembly, release cargo parachute M-1, lanyard arming wire, connector parachute, timer delay assembly, link lower suspension, link assembly single suspension type IV, link assembly heavy duty, link three point, parachute release single knife, bracket suspension, and tie down cargo quick release.
(2) Performs airdrop inspections after priorities are set, work sequences are determined, and pertinent policy matters have been reviewed.
(3) Rigs and prepares unilateral airdrop training loads to include type V or other airdrop platforms for airdrops.
(4) Performs drop zone control operations as Drop Zone Controller/Safety Officer.
(5) Formulates, implements, and documents programs to train Wing augmentation in support of Wing air transportation deployment functions to ensure effective and efficient operations of installation deployment processes.
