Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting and operating commercial vehicles. (Non-cdl)
Applicant MUST have experience and knowledgable on INSTALLING a wide variety of appliances such as Ranges, Washers and Dryers and Fridges ensuring NO leaks, gas or water. We also occasionally put together bed frames and couches. The Driver role is a LEAD position and comes with responsiblity.
Responsibilities:
- Safe operation of a 26ft box truck with a lift gate.
- Load and unload goods using pallet jacks, dollys, liftgates and other equipment
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Perform routine inspections of vehicles to ensure proper maintenance and safety
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients
Requirements:
- Valid Alaska driver's license (non-CDL) with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
- Strong communication and customer service skills (customers tip heavily, work that smile and customer service)
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of route planning and navigation systems
Note: This is a paid position. There is plenty of room and opportunity for growth in this small, locally owned business.
Job Type: Full-time
Helper Pay: $150+ per day depending on experience
Background screening required
Driver Pay: $200 per day upon successful completion of 2-4week training, depending on progress (paid at helper rate while in training)
Background screening required
Must pass 5-panel drug test.
Must have own tools for appliance setups including a power drill.
Expected hours: 40+ per week
