Job Title: Entry-Level Sales Associate and Social Media Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Entry-Level Salesperson to join the Arctic Carpet team. This role combines customer-facing sales duties, such as assisting customers in selecting flooring products that meet their needs, preferences, and budget, with responsibilities for assisting in the management of our social media presence. You will develop product knowledge, provide excellent customer service, and contribute to the overall sales goals of the store. The ideal candidate is passionate about interior design or home improvement, has a flair for customer service, has a desire to grow in a retail sales environment, and is comfortable using social media platforms to engage with our audience.

Key Responsibilities:

SALES:

- Customer Assistance: Greet and engage customers as they enter the store. Provide excellent service by understanding their needs and finding the right flooring products based on their preferences, needs, and budget.

- Product Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of the various types of flooring products available in the store, including carpet, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, and tile. Be able to explain the features, benefits, pricing and installation processes of each product.

- Sales Support: Assist customers throughout the purchasing process, from initial consultation to final sale. Provide information on product pricing, promotions, and financing options. Process sales transactions accurately using the store’s point-of-sale system.

- Inventory: Organize product displays and conduct inventory counts as needed.

- Order Processing: Assist with the processing of customer orders, including entering orders into the store’s system, arranging delivery or installation, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

- Store Presentation: Ensure that the design center and sales floor are clean, organized, and visually appealing. Assist with setting up product displays and promotional materials.

- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other store associates and the management team to achieve sales targets and provide a seamless customer experience.

- Customer Follow-up: Follow up with customers on quotes, orders, and special requests. After their purchase, ensure satisfaction and address any issues or questions that may arise.

- Learning and Development: Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance product

SOCIAL MEDIA ASSISTANCE:

- Assist in creating and scheduling posts on the store’s social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest).

- Collaborate with management / marketing team to develop content that showcases products, promotions, and store events.

- Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and help grow the store’s online presence.

- Monitor social media trends and suggest ideas to improve engagement and reach.

- Track and report on social media metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns.

Qualifications:

- Education: High school diploma or equivalent, to include those actively working towards a diploma.

- Experience: Willingness to learn about flooring products and sales techniques.

- Attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Previous retail or sales experience is a plus.

- Experience with social media content creation and management tools (e.g., Canva, Hootsuite) also a plus.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand for extended periods, occasionally lift or move products up to 50 lbs, and perform tasks that require physical effort.

Working Conditions:

- This position requires flexibility to work during store hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Compensation:
