We need YOU!Where the chemistry happens…We are looking for a Parent Seed Plant Manager in our Maricopa, Arizona location who will direct and coordinate plant operations which will include delinting, cleaning, treating, and bagging of cotton seed. Position also includes debagging, treating, cleaning, and bagging Foundation seed.Domestic relocation assistance available.As a Parent Seed Plant Manager - US Cotton, You Create Chemistry By

Achieving daily, weekly, and yearly production goals set forth by Supply Chain while producing a high quality product within a safe work environment.

Ensuring preventative maintenance of equipment and plant facilities.

Supporting the operation of the Parent Seed processes in Arizona in a manner which maintains seed genetic purity and quality within written standards by closely coordinating with 3rd party cooperator and negotiate contracts that align with Supply, Procurement, and Stewardship divisions.

Directing and managing full time and temporary employees in Arizona that supervise growing and processing activities within EHS, Quality, and Stewardship divisions parameters.

Processing seed for APT trials and AZ Parent Seed Farm production utilizing hazardous materials in accordance with Supply SOPs and Quality and Stewardship guidelines to produce the highest quality seeds submitted to University trials by Agronomic Services.

Developing and managing budgets for the site. Managing off season repair and maintenance of processing plant. Maintaining close relationship with Breeding and Agronomic Services.

Maintaining close relationship with Stewardship regarding storage & transport.

If you

Bachelors degree required. Field of study in Agriculture, Agronomy, Plant Science, Agricultural Economics or related field, preferred.

Have minimum of 5 years of seed processing/research experience, preferred. Minimum of 3 years directly managing people.

Possess previous pre-foundation or foundation seed experience, preferred.

Experience with seed production equipment and maintenance, preferred

Have experience with process improvements and quality standards

Experience with managing 3rd party negotiations

Have proficiency in Excel, and Word. SAP experience, preferred.

Bilingual Spanish/English, preferred, but not required
