Further duties include advising researchers on sequencing projects RNA/DNA quantification RIN/DIN assays library preparationand some data analysis. Additionally this position will help in the operation and maintenance of flow cytometers. Required: Illumina sequencer experience including sample preparation; Preferred: flow cytometry experience.QualificationsTen years of previous experience in a research clinical or other scientific environment required.Bachelor's Degree RequiredExperience in training or educating students technicians and postdoctoral associates required.Preferred: If a Master's degree has been attained five (5) years of previous experience in a research clinical or other scientific environment.Has made contributions technically and or made and continues to make contributions conceptually to grant applications and peer reviewed research reports. Possesses knowledge of laboratory techniques and the scientific method required.Preferred: Proficient and proven knowledge of laboratory techniques fiscal management lab function and lab oversight. Contributes technically and continues to make contributions to reviewed research reports. Demonstrates an ability to continually improve performance. Has demonstrated ability in oversight and training of other lab personnel including the lab head and possess promise to be an expert in job role. Proficient in advanced computer skills required. Advanced knowledge of laboratory practices and in sophisticated computer-based processes preferred.Pay Range$33.60 - $48.73 /hourWe are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
