Dean Institute for Humankindness and Health Justice (LHDI), the Senior Analyst (Analytics & Reporting) is a grant funded position with an expected minimum term assignment of (16) months. It is responsible for collecting, transforming, analyzing, reporting and processing data that supports the LHDI research objectives to support humankindess and health justice related implementation science research.This role will support the research analytics and work closely with the leadership of LHDI and Research Analytics Center of Excellence, CommonSpirit Health Research Institute to help with research analytics, data analytics, reporting, and business intelligence focused on the research and evaluation efforts of LHDI. This position will also be responsible for preparing, analyzing and distributing reports in the form of dashboards, scorecards or other presentation tools, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, validity, reliability and consistency in report preparation.Due to its scope and complexity, this person must possess superior technical and troubleshooting skills; have a solid background in computational skills, basic statistical skills, clinical research as well as excellent communication skills. This position will bring technical expertise to ensure the quality and accuracy of that data, then process, design and present it in ways to help the CSHRI and functional area leadership make better decisions.The data analytics function will be developed with LHDI leadership and functional leaders to monitor the humankindness and health justice related implementation science research and evaluation efforts by developing key performance indicators for research and evaluation project implementation and operation. This position will assist in facilitating and coordinating data analyses for each research and/or evaluation project at LHDI in delivering data to support research and evaluation objectives.This position will assist with the implementation and testing of humankindness and health justice related research and evaluation systems and data migration.Essential Key Job ResponsibilitiesFunctions as the LHDI support for research and data analytics, reporting metrics and business intelligence.

Research and Data Analytics Responsibilities

o Provide innovative analytical insights with the Lloyd H. Dean Institute for Humankindess and Health Justice.o Extensively works with data sets from various sources including but not limited to, Excel and SQL to identify patterns and trends.o Support analytics for research projects using tools such as SPSS, SAS, Python, SQL, R and other computational methods.o Works closely with the Research Analytics Center of Excellence, CommonSpirit Health Research Institute to establish analytic standards and databases for humankindess and health justice research and evaluation purposes.o Perform various data analytics in SQL and MS Excel using statistical models or industry accepted tools o Analyzes results and presents patterns and trends in a fashion that supports CSHRI ability to understand issues, evaluate options, form accurate conclusions, and make decisions.o Acquires data from primary or secondary data sources and maintains databases.o Works alongside functional leadership and teams to establish data analytics and business reporting needs.o Defines new data collection and analysis processeso Provide data solutions, tools, and capabilities to enable self-service frameworks for scientific data researcho Develops and implements data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.

Reporting Metrics Responsibilities

o Generates custom reports and humankindness and health justice research and/or evaluation performance dashboards for LHDI leadership as identified/needed by LHDI and functional area leadership.o Performs quality assurance on custom reports and performance dashboards to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Other Responsibilities

o Supports assigned projects for LHDI leadership and key internal stakeholderso Assists with research and/or evaluation related project tasks, collaborates/validates activities associated with project planso Ensures that all actions taken, and methods used to produce the results outlined above, incorporate and promote the mission of CommonSpirit Health and its sponsorsQualificationsRequired Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in biological sciences,computer science or information technology; may consider substitution of an equivalent combination of education and experience

At least 2 years’ experience in computational methods and statistical tools (Python, SQL, SAS, R etc).

At least 3 years’ problem solving, debugging skills and software application support experience.

Preferred Experience

At least 2 years of experience in database administration and web-based research management applications such as a ClinicalTrial Management Systems (CTMS) and/or electronic IRB management systems, along with report writing experience.

At least 3 years’ experience in a health care setting supporting clinical research programs and clinical trials research activities preferred.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training

Human Subjects Protections Training

Documentation of GCP, HIPAA, NIH completed training

MCSA/MCSE Certification

Applicable MOOC Certifications/Completion

OCA/MCSA SQL Certification

Knowledge of HL7 interface language

Experience in JSP Programming/Debugging

Functional knowledge using APIs

Understanding of Scripting experience in (Python, Perl, JavaScript, Shell);

Practical knowledge of data in various forms (data warehouses/SQL, unstructured data

environments/PIG,HIVE, Impala);

Familiarity with BI reporting tools (i.e. Tableau and Business Objects

Enterprise database query knowledge using SQL queries.

Ability to operate computer software with sophisticated retrieval, storage, and merging capabilities.
