PDW Performance Driven Workforce is now hiring Seasonal Metal Finishers. Metal Finishers are responsible for the final steps of the manufacturing process, ensuring that metal products meet specified standards. This role involves removing dents, scratches, and other defects from metal surfaces, performing quality checks, polishing, and applying protective coatings. The ideal candidate will have experience with various metal finishing techniques, including grinding, sanding, filling, and stoning. Candidates meeting the requirements for this Metal Finishers position below are strongly encouraged to apply. This Seasonal Metal Finisher position offers an AM Day shift plus possible overtime and is based out of Casa Grande, AZ.

Pay:

$24.00 - $32.00 (depending on experience)

Shift:

6:00 am to 3:00 pm (Monday - Friday, plus OT as needed)

Responsibilities:

Surface Preparation: Remove dents, scratches, and other imperfections from metal surfaces using hand and power tools

Grinding & Sanding: Smooth and prepare surfaces by grinding and sanding, including applying body fillers as needed

Polishing & Buffing: Polish metal surfaces to achieve a smooth, high-quality finish and etch decorative details

Coating Application: Apply protective coatings to prevent rust and corrosion

Quality Assurance: Inspect metal components for flaws or damage and ensure all products meet company standards

Equipment Operation: Use various tools, such as wire brushes, grinders, drills, and cutting instruments

Maintenance: Maintain and clean tools, equipment, and workspaces

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and use protective gear, such as gloves, goggles, and masks

Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members and supervisors to ensure timely completion of projects

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum 3 years' experience as a Metal Finisher, traditional Dent Repair or Paintless Dent Repair Technician, or a similar role in a manufacturing environment

Proficiency in traditional and PDR techniques and using hand and power tools for metal finishing, including stoning techniques

Strong attention to detail and an eye for quality

Knowledge of automotive repair processes, including using metal finishing tools, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Strong physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects

Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team

Ability to lift and move heavy objects, prolonged periods of standing, and performing repetitive tasks

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional certification or training in metal finishing or a related field

Experience with various metals and finishing techniques

Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment
