Are you someone who loves staying organized and thrives in a fast-paced environment? We’re looking for a Shipping & Receiving Runner to join our dynamic team! If you're detail-oriented, a team player, and excited about keeping operations running smoothly, we’d love to have you on board.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing inventory, ensuring that shipments are processed efficiently, and maintaining the organization of our stockroom. This position is essential in supporting daily operations and ensuring the timely and accurate handling of incoming and outgoing goods.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Accurately track incoming goods and ensure their proper storage
Inspect shipments to make sure no damaged items are sent or received
Verify deliveries by comparing packing lists to purchase orders and ensuring the products match
Update inventory as products are received and add them into the system
Package items for returns to vendors, completing the necessary paperwork
Keep our stockroom organized, clean, and efficient, cataloging items regularly
Coordinate large shipments, ensuring proper planning for space and staffing
Prepare regular reports on goods shipped and received for management
Troubleshoot any issues that arise in shipping or inventory management
Adhere to environmental management systems and safety standards
Operate forklifts to handle large goods and ensure safe storage
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in shipping and receiving or inventory management
Prior knowledge of construction materials is required.
Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail
Ability to lift and move goods; forklift certification a plus (we can train for forklift, if needed)
A problem-solver who thrives in a team environment
A commitment to safety and environmental best practices
IMPORTANT JOB DETAILS:
Outdoor factory environment – must be comfortable working in various weather conditions
Operating hours: vary seasonally in accordance with weather conditions and daylight availability (for productivity and workplace safety)
General schedules
Summer: 5am-1:30pm Fall: 6am-2:30pm Winter: 7am-3:30pm
Full PPE required/provided (hard hat, gloves, safety vest, etc.) except for steel-toe boots (which are required).
