Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are opening a position for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Tempe, Arizona. This role involves managing customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records and resolving credit inquiries. The role also includes monitoring customer credit accounts and taking action on delinquent payments. This is a contract to hire employment opportunity in the telecom industry. Responsibilities: Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently Maintain accurate customer credit records Resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely manner Monitor customer credit accounts regularly Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments Maintain confidentiality of all customer information Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and employees at all levels Demonstrate a high attention to detail with consistent accuracy Utilize computer proficiency, including Teams and intermediate Excel Display a high level of organization and motivation towards continuous improvement and professional development Utilize knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and SAP Requirements Must possess a strong understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) Experience with SAP software is required Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite applications Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail Knowledge of basic accounting principles Ability to handle confidential information responsibly Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role would be advantageous.
