Position Summary:The Administrative Support Supervisor is responsible for supervising the activities of support level personnel within an assigned department or program. This position is governed by state and federal laws and institution policyDuties & Responsibilities:

Supervise Customer Service staff which may include a number of work-study students

Research and Statistics: Evaluates and produce statistical data for all programs

Manage: Monitor and respond to a departments email account(s)

Responsible: For the department’s phone system, assist with incoming calls, and facilitate availability throughout the department. Ensuring that their coverage for front-line services and assistance as needed depending on that coverage

Customer Service Representative: Provides assistance and other resources to potential and current students, parents, staff, faculty, off-campus agencies, and high school counselors

Processing: Scan and index financial aid documents as well as maintain security for all scanned documents that contain personally identifiable information

Training: Train and coordinate training needs that are required within the duties of this position

Administrative: Work closely with the leadership team to ensure and maintain current processes and practices that are meeting the needs of the department

Processing: Incoming and outgoing mail for the department

Perform other duties as required

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Knowledge of student financial aid programs, standards, and proceduresKnowledge of operating procedures for technical equipment standard within the jobKnowledge of department operations, policies, and proceduresKnowledge of applicable laws and regulationsKnowledge of computers and software applicationsKnowledge of basic accounting principlesExcellent communication skillsExperience with Microsoft Office ProductsAbility to review and evaluate student financial needsAbility to maintain recordsAbility to supervise employeesAbility to conduct research and perform basic quantitative quality assurance reviewsAbility to resolve operational problemsAbility to research, prepare, and present comprehensive written and oral reports to the supervisorFamiliarity with SCT Banner ProductsGeneral Days/Hours: Monday - Friday8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.Additional hours as requested and/or neededSome travel required for training and/or conferencesRegular and reliable attendanceOther:Please note: all position postings close at 12:00 A.M.
