Position Summary:The Athletic Certification and Records Coordinator is responsible for athletic academic eligibility certification and related NCAA processes.Duties & Responsibilities:Serves as the designated academic official, as determined by the chancellor, in all athletic eligibility decisions. Athletic Duties

In charge of eligibility maintenance for Academic Certification Lists and responsible for providing those to the Compliance Office;

Designated person on campus who signs final approval on Academic Certification and forwards to the Compliance Office for review and submission to Conference Office;

Coordinate the processes used for athletics eligibility certification;

Monitors 16 intercollegiate athletic teams to certify incoming, transfer, and continuing eligibility;

Responsible for completing and submitting the APR (Academic Performance Program Rate) and GSR (Graduation Success Rate) with support from the Faculty Athletics Representative and compliance office;

Serve as a member on the University Compliance Committee and Athletic Student Services Committee; Serve as a Liaison for the Student-Athlete Academic Success Program, compliance staff, registrar and admissions;

Evaluate and analyze academic records and enrollment status of student-athletes to determine eligibility status for practice, financial aid and competition;

Monitor NCAA Initial Eligibility Web Status Reports;

Attend NCAA regional seminars and conference compliance meetings;

Assist with Sun Belt Conference Academic Reporting;

Assist with transfer course equivalencies; assist with degree audits

Other duties as assigned.

Additional Academic Duties

Is an active member of the Registrar’s Office team and will have other duties based on office needs and scheduling availability. These include but are not limited to:

Run degree audits

Send courses out to departments for course equivalencies

Other duties as assigned

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Knowledge and experience with academic advisingKnowledge of NCAA Division I academic eligibility rulesExperience working with academic records and related student information software applications.General Days/Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.Other:Please note: all position postings close at 12:00 A.M. CST on the position closing dateMinimum Qualifications:An earned Bachelor's degree is required.
