Hello. My name is David and I am the owner of Down Home Delivery, LLC. We are entering our 21st year in business in Little Rock. We deliver lost and delayed luggage from Little Rock Airport to destinations around the state of Arkansas. We service all of the airlines located at Clinton National Airport.
As we enter the busiest travel season of the year, we are in need of Independent Contractors with open availability to help us out through the holiday season. If interested, Contractors may continue with us as needed after the holiday season ends. We currently have specific need from after 3:00pm weekdays and at all times on weekends beginning at 8:00am. When the airlines are flying we are working which means we operate 365 days per year including weekends and holidays. We have busy days and we have slow days; so flexibility is helpful when considering this to do. And to answer the question now, no, we do not have much need for help Monday to Friday during the day; although occasionally there is work available during those times.
Pay is set per Baggage Delivery Order. Local deliveries are considered to be out to 70 miles. We pick up at the airport 3 to 4 times per day, route the available deliveries by direction, and deliver them. Very simple work that can sometimes seem hectic. We operate more like a mini Fedex type business than a by the delivery company as we are paid by volume. Standard pay is set up semi monthly based on a net15 with options available for early payment if needed.
We are seeking to work with people that have a good attitude and an even temperament, fun to work with, have good communication skills. Contractors will need a fuel efficient and reliable vehicle, a cell phone, Valid Driver's License, and Insurance. Yes, contractors are responsible for all expenses, including fuel, however, our rates by volume will offset cost provided that you actually do work.
