Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity in the wholesale distribution industry in Bakersfield, California. This role is centered around administrative assistance, with a focus on maintaining and updating customer accounts and assisting with the coordination and management of various tasks and projects. Responsibilities: Creation and regular updating of planograms. Modification and distribution of internal and external reports for sales teams, vendors, and customers. Assisting with the management and tracking of customer sales, rebates, and profitability. Preparation and editing of spreadsheets on Excel. Scheduling and coordination of meetings, events, and special projects. Assisting in the preparation of presentations, reports, and communications. Answering phones, collecting information from customers, and directing calls. Monitoring and coordinating schedules. Typing various letters, reports, and forms. Organizing documents, sending out mail and packages, filing, and processing received mail. Maintaining all account and pricing information. Collaborating with sales to analyze profit margins and mark ups. Implementing promotions to the appropriate customers and groups. Partnering with sales managers and customers to implement retail prices. Skills required: Answering Inbound Calls Customer Service Data Entry Email Correspondence Inbound Outbound Calls Microsoft Excel Microsoft Outlook Microsoft PowerPoint Microsoft Word Schedule Appointments Requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Experience in answering inbound and outbound calls Strong customer service skills Ability to perform data entry tasks with accuracy Excellent email correspondence skills Experience in scheduling appointments Knowledge of the wholesale distribution industry Ability to multitask and prioritize work Strong verbal and written communication skills Detail-oriented and organized Ability to work independently and in a team environment Strong problem-solving skills High level of professionalism and discretion.
