Click here to learn more about Bakersfield Memorial Hospital.ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary:Coordinates pre-operative patient flow. Gathers information related to scheduled cases plans daily activities to maximize scheduling and patient care efficiency and works with members of multiple departments physicians and physician's offices to implement the planned activities. Responsible for assessing patients prior to admission to ensure completion of pre-operative works patient education and for serving a s a liaison between hospital departments and physician offices under the direction of the manager for Ambulatory Surgery Services. Monitors the work of others assigned to the Pre-Admissions service area. Assumes responsibilities for the marketing and growing of pre-admissions services.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:

CA RN and BLS required.

General nursing experience is required.

Education level necessary to obtain required licensure and certifications.

Completion of annual safety training.

Completes and maintains required unit specific training.

Completion of HIPAA training.

Must be able to read write speak and understand the English language.

Must have basic math skills as well as the need for memorization.

Preferred Qualifications:

Two years’ experience in same day surgery center or outpatient surgery environment or in patient assessment is preferred.

BSN preferred.
