Air Freight Coordinator

Description We are seeking an Air Freight Coordinator to join our team. The role is based in Brisbane, California, and offers a long-term contract employment opportunity (three (3) months). As an Air Freight Coordinator, you will handle all import shipments for our clients, monitor shipments until they clear customs, and manage the dispatch and delivery process. Responsibilities: Handle all import shipments, ensuring smooth and efficient processes Monitor shipments until they clear customs, and arrange for their dispatch and final delivery Collaborate with air crew to obtain proof of delivery and ensure timely delivery Upload proof of delivery documents for record-keeping Handle billing and delivery charges, maintaining accountability from shipment to billing Perform data entry tasks, including capturing weight, number of pieces, and other shipment details Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to shipments Operate specific systems such as CargoWise and internal systems, and carry out tasks on Microsoft Excel Manage accruals and approve invoices, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining strong customer relationships.Requirements Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as an Import Coordinator or in a similar role. Recent graduates with relevant coursework may be considered. Proficiency in using Cargowise software is helpful Strong knowledge and understanding of billing functions within the import/export industry. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are mandatory. Customer service experience, particularly in resolving issues and building relationships, is crucial. A solid understanding of customs procedures and regulations is required.
