DescriptionSAIC is seeking to hire a Engineering Technician 3 to support our Land System Integration Modern Vehicle Fielding (LSI MVF) in Camp Pendleton, CA. The (LSI MVF) program provides the design, engineering and full scale integration of C4ISR capabilities into tactical military vehicle platforms. It improves efficiency and effectiveness of integrating mission equipment on vehicle platforms for specific mission activities and provides post-fielding sustainment support.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Will be primarily tasked with performing moderate to complex vehicle integration tasks to include cable routing, metal work installations, and technical support to integrate, install, modify, and perform upgrades in support of C5ISR systems.

Read and follow integration documentation, written or verbal instructions, schematics, rough sketches, drawings and diagrams, layouts, and plans often requiring interpretation.

QualificationsREQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Associate’s degree in Engineering or Physical Science; or Formal electronics training from: Technical School; or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications; or six (6) year electronics apprentice program. Five (5) years of practical experience to include: laboratory testing, manufacturing, or maintenance

OR High School Diploma with Seven (7) years of related experience doing any of the following: integration, manufacturing; or maintenance.

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

US Citizen with the ability to obtain an Interim Secret Clearance prior to start. SAIC will assist with the clearance process.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to squat, bend, climb in and out military vehicles and stand for long periods of time. Lift 50 pounds.

Repeatedly manipulating and handling tools needed for installing electrical components, Mechanical parts and metal work into vehicles. Familiar with the use and operation of power tools is necessary.

Move and arrange cable supplies and electronic equipment.

Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
